Thomas (Burke) J. Balch, JD, PRP, spent three decades as the Director of the Robert Powell Center for Medical Ethics where he spearheaded national advocacy on preserving the Right to Life for sick and hospitalized patients. Mr. Balch is also one of the authors of the current and immediate past editions of Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised and Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised In Brief. Licensed to practice law in Illinois, he received his B.A. from Williams College in 1977, and his J.D. from the New York University School of Law in 1983.
